After coming across a comment by someone on Mumsnet, that "women's coats don't have inside pockets"", I thought this week I’d focus on coats with inside pockets. As regular readers will know they are there, but they can sometimes be hard to find, particularly if they don't tell you (if I made coats with inside pockets it's be the first thing on the feature list). Sometimes it shows on the photo, but you have to be careful that it's not just a useless flap, as illustrated here. By sheer coincidence, I was also contacted last week by someone who, due to a personal theft, was particularly keen on the inside pocket to keep their stuff extra secure but they found that most of the inside pockets are on the left hand side. As a left handed person this was not ideal for them. It is not something that occurred to me before, but as roughly 10% of the population is left handed, this is something I want to help with. I have added a right hand inside pocket' filter. So far there's only a few products in it, but now I'm working on it, hopefully there will be more soon.
In the last month I have also attempted to get in the 21st century, by finally adding some AI help with moderation of products, (as I still check every one before I add it to the site). I am using Claude AI, and although it is actually pretty good at understanding from a photo that, for example, it's "a floral dress", it is still pretty rubbish at distinguishing hands in actual pockets.
No Claude, this isn't a hand in a pocket!
Although, that said, thanks to person who reviewed a product last week as "not an actual pocket". Sorry about that, looks like Claude is not the only one who makes mistakes!
In all seriousness, I do appreciate your input, as it helps to make sure I get the right stuff on the site. If you notice anymore, please do let me know. And if you like what we do, please tell your friends!
